I'm an enterprise software developer, using agile development, currently working freelance on a suite of desktop applications, one of which is open source, for SPRU, a research centre at the University of Sussex, Brighton, England. The applications support the Multicriteria Mapping methodology.
Currently my daily work involves Eclipse, Java, Swing, Ant, NSIS, Subversion, Trac. In the background I'm looking at getting my Continuous Integration thing slicker, perhaps using Maven and Hudson.
Over the last few months I've tried out Basecamp, Highrise, and Unfuddle, with varying degrees of success.
Books to hand are Manage It!, Letting Go of the Words, The Pragmatic Programmer and Producing Open Source Software. Recent reads include Open Source Community Building and Getting Things Done.
