web developer, villager, father and Englishman abroad
I spent a year living at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage in Northeast Missouri.
While there, I wrote several articles for their outreach email newsletter and for the local newspaper, the Memphis Democrat:
Still at Dancing Rabbit, I wrote a couple of articles for the international magazine Communities.
I wrote a news feature about my family's experience helping sandbag in Missouri during the floods in late 2008.
Since leaving Dancing Rabbit, I wrote a blog post on Blogger, which was kinda weird but popular.
I've written a couple of reviews for Amazon.com.
I've helped several independent and alternative media projects since college and, soon after graduating started a newsletter for staff at students at the University of Sussex covering environmental and social justice issues called Campus Ecology. With the Green Publishing Collective that published Campus Ecology, I helped pull together the first Green Student Map at the University.
I was involved a little with the Indymedia project in its early days. In May 2000 I interviewed Matthew Arnison about the early history of Indymedia.
